Progressive is the new agressive
Project Hardtail 120. This was basically the kick-off for a bigger project. It is the first bike of a big family that will all share the same design-philosophy. Main design-feature of the frame are the semicircular tube-cross-sections, rounded junctions and no shadowlines, creases or hard edges. The character of the bike comes through the sophisticated outline graphic.
On the technical side, the frame is part of the “Progressive is the new Aggressive” credo. So as a Hardtail-Mountainbike it has a slack 65° Headtubeangle, relatively long 435mm Chainstays, room for 29x2,35 tires and a short Seattube designer for long travel dropper-posts. The whole geometry is based around a 120mm Fork and the idea of a modern, do-it-all mountainbike that is centered on the fun-side of riding. Again, this bike comes with a special color. This time it is called Giallo and represents a bright and lively bicycle that takes itself not to serious.
Projekt Hardtail 120. Der Ursprung eines größeren Gesamtprojekts, bei welchem mehrere Fahrräder entwickelt werden welche dieselbe Design-Philosophie teilen. Das Hauptmerkmal ist der halbrunde Rohrquerschnitt, abgerundete Rohr-Übergänge und das fehlen jeglicher Lichtkanten. Der Charakter wird alleine durch die simple aber dynamische und dadurch eigenständige Seitengrafik gebildet.
Auf der technischen Seite gibt es zum Hardtail auch einige spannende Ansätze. Als Teil der “Progressive ist he new Agressive“-Bewegung gilt es den Fokus auf den Spaß am fahren zu setzen. So hat es etwa einen mit 65° sehr flachen Lenkkopfwinkel, relativ lange 435mm Kettenstreben und ein vergleichsweise kurzes Sattelrohr welches für langhubige Sattelstützen gedacht ist. Die gesamte Geometrie baut auf eine 120mm Federgabel auf und soll dadurch ein do-it-all-Bike werden. Die Farbe Giallo soll den Charakter der Bikes repräsentieren. Sportlich, dynamisch aber nicht zu ernst.
